S-S: You are confused, as you should be. This matter is a confusing one. Thank you for helping us. *The voice is deeper than before and now clearly male. He looks at Johnny and Yuna.* Your friends are now safe and in no danger of being attacked. You may leave now if you want to.

*ears twitch in confusion*

*The S-S sighs a sad sigh.*
S-S: I guess that I will have to explain things then. Not that long ago, we were once Dual-Changers, like your four friends here. Some of us lived here once, others lived far, far, away. But, regardless of where we were, we were a peaceful species...until the day when they arrived.

S-S: A group of young, naive, scientists, who were looking for something to do. At least, I think that were scientists. Thinking back now, I don't know what they were. Continuing, they came across this city and saw us and thought of us as animals. As non-sentient beings. So they captured a few of us for study.

Edit: *A S-J slides her now feminine voice, rough with age, into the S-S's pause in speech.* There is no need to be afraid youngsters. We mean you no harm. These scientists ran tests on us. All sorts of tests. With large needles and...*shivers compulsively*...other horrible things. They let some of the other Dual-Changers go when they were finished testing them, but not us.

 

[Yuna Leonhart]

And their experiments did horrible things to you, right?

 

[PanthraDion]

S-J: Oh yes. Those experiments caused us to look like this! Other experiments caused other Dual-Changers to become very ill with human disease that we were not immune to.

*Blinks when The S-J starts to talk*

I wouldn't be surprised if scientists did that all to you... We never met any scientist who cared about non-human beings...
