*Melissa gets shakily to her paws and steps away from the bullets on the ground.*

Melissa, two wounds appeared on your body on the same spots where Johnny removed the bullets. I cast a healing spell and these bullets popped out...

*Eyes go wide. She looks at the bullets.*
I...I was just re-living my experience with getting shot, sort of. It was changed a lot. In it I...I think that both of us d...died.
*Eyes bullets again.*
But why should the bullets be real?

I don't know but maybe it has something to do with the lizard-human mutants? Maybe they can make one relive past experience but with it ending badly? Though it still wouldn't explain why the bullets are real...

 

[Sgt Floyd]

Maybe they were the ones who shot you to begin with...

Wait a minute... Melissa, didn't you once tell us you and your sis were shot by a twelve year old kid? Kiwi was chased by a lizard-human mutant and the mutant looked like a twelve year old. Maybe the one who shot you and Rachel and this mutant are one and the same.

It's possible that that lizard mutant can make one re-live past experiences and have them end badly, and then make some things real to confuse whoever they have caught into submission, or possibly into spilling secrets. But no, Johnny, they were not the ones who shot me. A little twelve year old boy shot me, not a lizard-human mutant.

Edit: (Ziffle) That thought never occurred to me before, Yuna. But then, if the boy was a mutant, and he could clearly change between forms, why would he attack me and Rachel? It would be like attacking one of your own kind.

Why did the werewolf-vampire hybrids kill all bat demons? Some kind of grudge against the species...

I have no explanation for that but don't forget, no matter if you're a normal human being or a creature, there's always someone who would attack or even outright kill a fellow human or creature....
