Rex: It's just...there have been no successful attempts to turn someone into a bat demon...

So, I'm the first successfuk attempt? But what happened during the other attempts? Did it not work or did thoe who were supposed to be turned killed?

*Walks away, and finds a TV airing a report on monsters*

 

[Sgt Floyd]

Rex: It just didn't work. They did the whole blood drinking and injecting of dark energy thing, but it just didn't work.

News: Earlier today, a group of people were captured by monsters claiming that people where impure and were going to kill everyone. Does this confirm people's suspicions that monsters are evil? Yes. Yes it does.

That's how we did it. Maybe there are some unknown factors that determine hether or not a person turns into a demon.

 

[Sgt Floyd]

Rex: But it's only been bat demons we have had trouble with...that's why bat demons are so rare. Not only is it rare that one is born, it was impossible to turn people into one. Most demon species only reproduce by turning people...
