The Simpsons seems to reference its Unpleaseable Fanbase a lot. I think it's what inspired Comic Book Guy's "Worst Episode Ever" catchphrase, right?

The Simpsons are really good at displaying how "hardcore" fans act, especially in the Poochie episode, where the fans are nitpicking at the most microscopic of issues.
