Not to mention singing, as well.Well, they "mature" faster than humans apparently, lol. Heck, they were ALL already walking and talking when they were still INFANTS!
But then that episode "Bigger!" where Alvin becomes an adult, he's as big as Dave, and it was CREEPY!I liked that in the series they were as big as normal children though
I write a pretty realistic eight year old..but then, I'm very in touch with my inner child . I also can write a very realistic toddler age character, since I have been around so many of my friends. I think that children are written older on tv not because no one can write realistically, but because of writers being a little lazy and wanting to get to the sorts of things more older viewers can relate to, like crushes and what to wear ETC..There is also the media's push to grow up sooner now which does not help good writing or real little kids one bit IMHO...Oh yeah.
Another thing you have to remember too, is that little kids on TV are ALWAYS a bit more mature than actual kids their age... I guess in order to write accurately for an eight-year-old, you have to be an eight-year-old, lol.
But you will be 24 this year, right?Odd. You're technically one calender year older than me (1983 being compared to 1984), but are listed as two years older than me (25 being compared to 23). I guess that "calender age verses real age" mumbo jumbo really works! ^_^
