I'm in the camp of saying Sure, they talk a good game, but when it comes to upholding that stuff (with exceptions) they're like when Johnny Fiama was singing with Tony Bennet... they stand before everyone and go... "uhhhfuuhhh huuhhh ehhhhh." and never let any of the things they say they're gonna fix get done.

Sure, and Republicans are often fat like Rush Limbaugh, Muslims are often calling for jihads and Italian-Americans usually have mob ties. Forgive my snark, but what you've said is presumptuous and false.

Well of course I know it's a stereotype. But stereotypes by their nature are based in some fact. I'm an Italian American and I admit, some Italian Americans have mob ties. Does that mean they all do? No, of course not. But there is certainly sometimes a connection (sadly). Are all liberals privileged hypocrites? No, of course not. But it is a trend that I've occasionally witnessed myself (again, sadly).

By the same token, conservatives are often moral hypocrites. There's plenty of hypocrisy to go around and I assure you I won't play favorites.

Well they are more diverse technically, yes. More tolerant? No, I don't think they are. That is my opinion. Just as Republicans aren't more moralistic. That is my opinion also. I'm Independent and I won't defend either of them.

I honestly don't see where I did that. I admitted that I was using a stereotype and didn't apologize for it or take my point back. And I made it clear that both sides had some hypocrisy. Nowhere did I destroy my original point. There are some on the Democratic side who are too well off to understand the struggles of the working class. Just as I see some on the Republican side not really living up to their morals.

You don't have to be poor to fight for the poor. You don't have to be a minority to fight for equal rights. Who the he|| cares? We all enter life with different advantages and challenges. It is unfair to compare them or single one party out over another. There are wealthy politicians who do great things for blue collar Americans. There are many who screw-them-over. There are working glass politicians who are just as righteous and corrupt too. It's up to us to make the world a little better with what we have been given and what we have achieved.

Back to the spirit of this thread, I think this recent viral clip makes some fantastic basic points on the matter.

From the sound of it you're attacking wealthy people on both sides of the isle. I barely have a dime to my name, but many of your statements have been prejudice toward the upper class. Beating up on hippies doesn't make up for that either.

I provided a graceful, agreeable out, tried to get back on topic and you still pressed the issue. Yes, you did misspeak. Yes, your revised "clarified" point is mostly valid. No, as usual you won't admit any mistake. Regardless, I'm moving on.
