How recently did they broadcast the baker segments and the race-car/spies counting segments?

My last memory of them are the early 80's, but if anyone remembers them in the late 80's / early 90's, please chime in.

These segments were very 1960's-ish and very out-dated.

I guess I know what happened to the baker segments and race cars/spies segments. They took the baker segments off Sesame Street in 1986 after Miles's First Birthday, because everyone would believe that the baker falling down the stairs would be hurtful. And they took the race cars/spies segments off Sesame Street in 1990 or 1991, because nobody knew who sang the numbers and they think they're OLD-FASHIONED.

There was a lot of stuff taken off in 1991-92, because that's when they started to update the show, and changed the theme music for the first time.

I can't believe the racecars/spies cartoon ran as long as they did...

I mean, did CTW have almost no budget to keep on re-running them so long?

It is rottin that they took the counting segment with the baker off in the early 90's. That's when the show started to go down hill and really change. There are lots of other stuff that was taken off in the 80's and really stinks that the're not on anymore.

I saw both series of segments on the show as late as 1992! (And that's when I stopped watching, so I can't vouch for after that.)
