Is it true that Telly used to have another colour before he became red?

i've seen some illustrations of him in books, sometimes he's red, sometimes purple, sometimes pink. he might have been purple or pink. n e ways, he's not exactly RED, he's more burgendy

Well as I mentioned in another post: I am colorblind. I don`t see the difference between red and orange.

But the Telly I mean had a sort of pink colour, really different from the present Telly. I remember I saw him on Sesame Street.

Speaking of Telly, are there any pictures of him when he was known as the Television Monster (with the spiraling eyes)? Or was that never filmed to begin with?

Well, look at him. He's not purple, he's actually more of a dark magenta. The Count is purple. Roosevelt Franklin is purple. Telly is not.....
