Gang, stop.
There is no necessity for debates to become heated, do not talk down to one another on these boards or call each other out. There's definitely no room for negativity, and if you cannot debate constructively then walk away from the computer until you calm down. It's that simple. I've preached THAT for a LONG time, folks. Why is it so hard to do that?
Why is it also so hard to just appreciate the work someone does to make a replica, and even if they sell it they spent the time to make it, and I don't see people chasing down Proton Pack or Star Wars/Star Trek replica builders and complaining about them.
These puppets on this site are good, and we can appreciate the work. Leave the legalities to the owners of the characters--it isn't up to US to chase down the laws of the land to the point that the debates become intense and inflamatory. We're here as fans of the same thing, and that makes us a little like a family and so we should not be in-fighting about something like this.
I'll tell you, too, that I KNOW the Muppets Holding Company LLC, Jim Henson Company, Sesame Workshop, and you know Disney are all reading this forum from time to time anyways, and if they had a problem with replicas I would guarantee you that they would be the first ones to either post to, or directly contact, the builders.
So leave it in their hands and PLEASE stop the infighting.
