Warrick:

I learned that "Alligator King," "Martian Beauty," "Ladybug Picnic," "Ten Tiny Turtles," and "That's About the Size of It" were NOT sung by Joe Raposo; the singer just sounds rather similar to him. Can you take those off your list?

Someone Nice

Does anyone have a copy (video or audio) of the Raposo Sesame Street song "Someone Nice"? I only vaguely remember the song, and I don't remember if he sung it or not.

someone nice

It's in my Sesame STreet songbook which I can't find at the moment, but some of the words are:

"I need someone nice to be nice to,
I need someone sweet for a friend,
I need someone warm I can warm to
when the days grow chill, as they sometimes will..."

I don't think I've ever seen or heard that one. Maybe it wasn't on the show. Can anyone verify this?

the song what do you do with a fruit. i've heard of what do you do with a pet if that's what you mean. also it's so interesting that sing a song was on SS first before The Carpenters did their take on it. that's so strange that a song from a kids show become a hit for a well known singing group of that time. 1973 i think is when they recorded it. but what's even more intersting is Ernie's rubber duckie also became a hit in 1970 by Ernie himself. i wonder what the music critic of that time were thinking about this. did Ernie go on American Bandstand and perform this his song. probably not. that certainly would of been interesting.

If you mean the "Swimming Penguins" film, I'd say Joe wrote it during the first season (but it's a complete guess). I don't know if Noggin has showed it.
