I THINK I may have mentioned this in the past before, but I don't think any of us have actually delved into the subject, so I thought I'd dig it back up...

Is anyone else besides me a little puzzled by the fact that Curly Bear is already talking (sort of) and walking after only three years (since her introduction) meanwhile Natasha (who was introduced ten years earlier) still only knows how to crawl, still speaks baby gibberish, and still blows those raspberries? Unless bears grow up fast than monsters, I just think it's weird that Curly Bear is already walking and somewhat talking while Natasha is still on all fours and speechless.

You know?! I never thought of that. I'm gonna sleep on that one tonight, but I'm curious what other people think.

You just made my little brain kick into full gear!

Not rully that weird when you think about it. Different babies develop and mature at different ages or stages in their lives. Some, with the right educational tools and home nurturing, develop their speech and other skills at an earlier age than others. Heck, I knew how to read and put words together when I was 2 thanks to all the Sesame Street I watched as an infant. And Baby Natasha has grown up a little, as referenced by one of the episodes where Ingrid declared with amazed excitement about how Natasha had shed her baby monster horns.

(That's probably an oversimplified explanation of a redesign of the puppet, but it works if you bend your imagination to believe it's the character growing up instead).
Hope this helps somewhat, have a good day Snowthfall.

Well, the Muppet characters generally do not age, even on Sesame Street. Otherwise, Big Bird would be a 4o-something year old man er...bird, and Robin the Frog would be atleast the same size as his uncle. Though I do find it strange that Curly Bear is the only one who has.

Considering the fact that Big bird has been six since well before Miles was born (and later adopted, if anyone thinks I made a mistake) and now he's graduated high school, not so much.

What WILL be disturbing is if the character's novelty wears off and she disappears. Then, if they forget about her, and use the bear family, it'll be like something happened. Like that girl from Family Matters who's mother asked for too much money, and she just disappeared and was never even recast.

Well, let's hope that Curly's mom doesn't ask for too much money when that contract gets renewed

Acctually Thelm Hopkins left for the star in her onw short live TV series "Getting BY" But she did make a few appearences on the show after the season she was gone. it's ben roumore that the character Judy was supposed to return for a tenth season of the show, but she would be played be a another actress. Actually Hairet was her mother, but someone did replace her after she left.

I am aware of that. I was just stating that they were planning on bring her cheracter back. That is all. And someone did replace the character of Harriet.
