Well today was a weird day.
My parents went out on a "date" tonight, and while they were gone, some guys came by and started mowing the yard (apparently the landlady wants to have a "yard sale" this weekend); they caused some minor damage, though, the gate to the back of our house (where the carport is) had been chained and locked because with the "for rent" sign out front, people still kept allow themselves around back to look at the house, so we got a lock and chain to "discourage" people from going around back and invading our privacy. Well, anyway, these guys cut the chain to they could get to the backyard and mow.
It wasn't until Mom and Dad got home I learned that the reason why no court date, or trial has happened is becausr our lawyer suggested we wait until Mom's physical therapy is completely over (so we'll have completely documentations and bills and stuff) and sue her directly, rather than as a homeowner, because as a homeowner, her insurance was supposed to pay for everything, but they refused, so if we sue her directly, and we have a good case, she'll have no choice but to pay out of her own pocket.
So, that explains why it seemed like "Well wait a minute, so what happened to our case? Did we get nothing out of this?" for a while there.
