Way back in first grade Sunday School, I got up in front of my peers and sang the following Christmas carol:
Rudolph the two-gun cowboy
Had a very shiny gun
And if you ever saw it
You would turn around and run.

All of the other cowboys
Used to laugh and call him nsmes
They never let poor Rudolph
Join in the poker game.

Then one foggy day in May
The sheriff said to him.
Rudolph with your gun so bright
Won’t you shoot my wife tonight!

Then how the cowboys loved him
As they had a shooting spree
Rudolph the two-gun cowboy
Went up in his story!

Despite the standing ovation from my classmates, I left Mrs. Walako speechless.

Reminds me of that variation we had on "Joy to the World" that went something like

Joy to the world
The man is dead
We barbecued his head
And what'd we do with the body
We flushed it down the potty

I think I heard that on TV somewhere.

Another popular song at that tender age, if you wanted to tease somebody:

Baby, baby
Stick your head in gravy
Wash it out with bubble gum
And send it to the Navy!

Which made no sense at all, but when one 6-year-old says that to another, you had him pegged!

One I'm familiar with in a similar vein. . . .

Crybaby, cry
Stick your finger in your eye
Go tell your momma
You want a piece of pie

In the old animated LORAX special, all we ever saw of the Oncler was his arms, hands, legs, and feet . . . and since he was depicted being green, I actually thought he was really the Grinch . . . I mean, he was a Dr. Seuss character, he was doing bad things, and he was green . . . it just made sense to me as a little kid.

Back in the days of holiday specials, a newcomer was Rudolph’s Shiny New Year.

I used to feel sorry for Rudolph. He spends the whole week between Christmas and New Year’s Eve looking for the Baby New Year.
He finds the baby just in time to ring in the New Year. But January 2, we’re back in school. Rudolph blew hi while Christmas vacation.
Talk about a raw deal.

The first thing I ever saw Zooey Deschanel as a kid was when she played Jovie in ELF, and I ended up associating her in that role so much that it took me a long time afterwards to get used to seeing her as a quirky and eccentric brunette as opposed to a deadpan and stoic blonde.
