Hopefully. With all the hype of this thing turning into a half hour and being an HBO first run series, you'd think that we'd get some info at least on when the episodes start airing. Late fall is turning into Early winter.

Again, this HBO deal is clearly something the sprang up out of the clear blue - even some of the castmembers didn't see this coming, so that's probably made some waves behind-the-scenes, because all we knew otherwise was that Season 46 would be airing on PBS maybe a month or two ago, but again, the HBO deal came out of nowhere, and that, no doubt, has delayed the new season until further notice; our lack of information could be for legal reasons - they probably can't release any information until everything is set in stone and solidified. As for HBO not having any scheduling information, we can probably only assume at this point that either they haven't updated their schedule listings yet, or that haven't settled on a definite airdate.

I noticed that on the PBS Kids website, which typically cycles one episode out and another one in on Fridays, for a total of four available episodes, they didn't cycle one in this weekend when they cycled the other one out, thus leaving only three episodes up. I wonder if that could be a clue as to timing...

Articles about the deal said the season would air on HBO this fall.

Yeah, but that could have been a generalization of an estimated window of time - we don't know of all the pertinent little details behind this sudden channel hop, other than we know the deal will mean SST will now have financial security as opposed to having to rely on funding through PBS to get the show produced. Like you and Drtooth said, all we know is "this fall," but there's no certainty: either there's a slowness in updating information that's already available, or there's other unknown factors at play that could be further delaying the season or otherwise preventing further information from being released, we just don't know for certain.

Funny not really related story. I kept passing by this new condo development that has a hard "fall 2015" projection date. It's Fall 2015, and the thing is still a skeletal metal nothing. Unless they have plans to finish it up by December 21, giving themselves a projection date (and provided they didn't go bankrupt halfway through like all of these usually go down), they made a tall order for themselves they can't fill.

Now as for the show, anytime between September and near the end of next month counts as "fall." HBO must be keeping bits of this show underwraps until they can find a finalized date. Maybe they're just not going to give a press release at all, or shifting the date until later for some reason. TBS isn't going to run any new American Dad episodes until January, and they just released that information. Maybe things happen differently for cable than for broadcast?

Anotehr way to look at it is this.

It's supposedlyi still going to be 9 months till it's aired on PBS. It generally started in September. Thus, perhaps they figure on earlyi December so that 9 months gets them to September, 2016.

No word on any extra fliming being done? At least if they're no longer going to be short on funds, I would hope they at least would get some more shows per season for their efforts.

I just got an email saying that Sesame Street is going to premiere on HBO starting January 2016. So much for "Fall 2015."
