You know, I just posted a comment in another thread venting my distaste for useless variants in the Muppet line--but I've gotta say, at the risk of contradicting myself, I would LOVE to own an Alistair Cookie (mentioned by both Minor Muppetz and That Announcer). That's a variant I wholeheartedly support--he existed, so to speak, on Sesame Street, and showed up repeatedly in sketches that were--most of the time--delightful.
I wouldn't be surprised if palisades released alistair cookie as a convention exclusive. Alistair Cookie is probably just as major of a variant as supergrover, yet supergrover is probably more popular, and super grover is not in a regular series. Super grover is probably more well-known to casual fans. after all, super grover appeared outside of the super grover segments many times, such as in sesame street specials, both of the movies, a few videos, and many books, while alistair cookie pretty much only appeared in Monsterpiece Theatre, and that segment hasn't been in any new episodes since 2002.

Snuffy fits in there somewhere, either between series or as an addition to a series. Bruno should be offered too, sometime later than Snuffy, but that would have to depend on Snuffy sales (Bruno's not as big, and would therefore be cheaper, but he's also not nearly as well-known).
also, bruno is the only full-body sesame street muppet who wears clothes, so he would probably have a lot more articulation than big bird, snuffy or other full-body characters. One full-body character who I don't think would have much articulation (if made, and I think bruno and eve the elephant are more likely) Is Sam The Robot. the only articulation he could have is neck movement, although he did have wheels, which could count as articulation. I am not sure if mouth articulation would work. But sam would be more of a "statue" than big bird.

Yes. the figure of my online namesake's planned for S2, along with Bert and Roosevelt Franklin and the Martians.
So, there's an open spot in your S4 lineup.
Darn. I should have known that--I even commented on the Count's accessories in a Series-2 thread. What was I thinking?

Don't worry, That Announcer--Baby Bear would not fill in that spot; in my wishlist version, Baby Bear would be in the potential Series 8 with Bedtime Bert. Included, but if we don't get that far, oh well (though I don't despise Baby Bear, and will buy him if made, I can live without him if he's not made).

So how would I fill that gaping hole in my Series 4? Hmm . . . I wanted two "big names" in each series. . . . I was also trying to keep the Countess close to the Count--but no way would she be part of Series 3. So, I guess I would settle for moving Grungetta into Series 4. Nowhere near the name-recognition of the Count, but not exactly obscure, either. And I've got Herry in that series already. So:

SERIES 4, revised
Telly
Herry
Grungetta
Lefty the Salesman

In the potential Series 7 I'd add Hoots the Owl--yes, I know the thread was only for series 3-6; sorry. I'll stop now.

I am working on a list of all the Sesame Street Muppet characters through the years and creating some kind of roster of which ones should be made. Maybe this will help some of you with your wishlists, as there may be some characters you forgot about that would be perfect candidates in the SS line. That will hopefully be up soon. I really enjoy seeing everyone's "predictions".

Bear! There's no need to do that my friend. Just head on over to my "Muppet Listings 15.0" thread and marvel at all the characters there with an "SS" designation. 1520And what with the additions made so far to get it from V15 toV16, there are at least 1520 out of a total of 3540 entries hailing from SS and its international co-productions.
So, hopefully this'll save you some work.
