Episode 5213 - A Trip to the Dentist
HBO Max Premiere: Thursday, February 3, 2022
PBS Premiere: Monday, November 28, 2022

To help remind Julia what happens when you visit the dentist, Elmo, Charlie, and Alan play “pretend dentist” with her. After they count and clean a toy alligator’s teeth, they learn that dentists help keep our teeth clean and healthy.

This episode features an all-new street story, I Wonder, What If, Let’s Try ("Playing Dentist"), a new Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck ("Celery"), and Elmo's World: Monster Edition ("Doctors").

I liked Stephanie having a big role as a human. Elmo saying "Go figure" about using a puppet to learn about dentists was funny. Cookie saying the celery butterflies look "adorbs" was certainly something you wouldn't hear in the 70s or 80s.

That was Stephanie as Dr. Price? I thought it was Christine Baranski.

Also, I’ve seen the ballerina puppet prop (in the I Wonder, What If, Let’s Try segment) used in SML as a trans woman Black Yoshi tried to set up with Mario.

They put the entire episode on YouTube:

I saw that last year. That's very convenient since I'll be working when it's on today and that way I won't have to wake up early tomorrow to see the ep. They really need to get more of those eps up there. Then again, I might get a subscription to HBOMax for Christmas, so hopefully I should be able to make like a tomato and catch up.

"Super Mario Land?" I don't recall that happening in that game.

That’s because SML is short for “SuperMarioLogan” in this case.
