Over on the Palisades Toys forum, there is an interesting thread talking about the future of the Sesame Street figures.

The thread starter, TheJimHensonHour, has a valid point about retailers backing out or not even carrying this great new line of action figures. He had asked for contact information for Target, TRU, etc, so I did some digging! Here's my post from that thread:

I'd recommend keeping your questions clean, with manners in check! I'll be writing the same e-mail to every company, and it's important to give them your contact info so they know that it's a real person contacting them, not just repeat e-mails from one person/crazed fan.

Don't know if it'll help much unless you get a bunch of people to do it. I'm gonna see about contacting Warrick and see if he'll do for Sesame Street figures what he did for Fraggle Rock Season Sets on DVD.

Maybe e-mail your regular e-mail contacts some of these links with a pre-written letter they can just copy and paste. The more the merrier right?

Best of Luck!

Um... Your dignity? Not to mention your own Muppet figure collection.
Rully hope the SS line takes off and S1 gets here soon.

So, basically..... the toy line didn't even start yet, and it's already in trouble.... that's always nice to hear!:attitude:

So, it's just late shipping. I was worried this wasn't going to happen, period.

So can i ask what is coming out for sure not mater what, from this line? At least Series one. but does Big bird w/little bird fall into this group as defanatly being released? I'm glad they re-thought series two even though at the moment i know things haven't being going as hoped. I don't think this line will go near the Muppet one with a start like this, but hopeful it does get a few waves out. It would be a shame not to get a Cookie Monster or Bert.even if they only did 4 series they could get a good chunk of classic Sesame Street characters. The Big "musts" to me are Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Grover, Count Von Count, Oscar, Erine and Bert.among others, but if one of these chracters isn't made it would never seem complete. I hope that the fan supporting can do the trick!

I have faith in this line, but just incase it only ends up being a few sets, Palisades is smart enough to know which guys to jet out to complete things. Your "Big must list" is similar to mine plus a few. For me, the musts are Big Bird (he has to be there no matter what), Ernie, Bert, Grover, Cookie Monster, The Count, Oscar, Prairie Dawn and Telly. Plus hopefully a Honker and with any luck at all, good ol' Mr. Aloysius Snuffleupagus!

I'm buying the series without any regard of what might come in the future. Fear keeps folks from buying these things and that will kill the line. BUY BUY BUY!!! Even if you don't like SS, buy it as a favor to me so they'll keep making them! LOL!!

It all comes down to consumer support. If S1 is a hit, stores will pick up the other series.
