"I don't wanna grow up, cause baby if I did, I couldn't be a Toys R Us kid!"

Lol, anyway, I definitely don't want to give up some of my childhood interests. On the other hand, I enjoy the idea of gaining wisdom as you get older. It can be painful being young.

I think it's very important to be focused when thinking about a career. That makes things much easier starting out. Another thing to remember is that it can take years to find your dream job, especially in the entertainment world. And in the meantime, you have to worry about making money and possibly raising a family.

Like when the Muppets went to Manhattan, Fozzie thought they'd be on Broadway in no time. But instead they faced rejection after rejection. While separating to find jobs was sad for them, it was probably a good idea (one gotten by Scooter, btw!) And eventually they were able to find their dream, but only after taking their knocks and working really hard.

And maybe you won't get the first career of your dreams. There are so many other things to chose from. As long as you're determined and believe in what you're doing, that's what matters.

First of all, I will never grow up, plain and simple. My plan for my life is to go and get a major in two dimensional animation, then go to the peace core, and work for some animation company, then when I retire I'll live in the mountains or something. My goal is longer but I dont feel like typing that.

My advice is that when it looks like all is lost, and all hope is gone and even after you tried and failed, to never stop believeing that you will do somthing.

You guys have no idea how much these words are helping me. I'm in the middle of changing schools and stuff and there is so much confusion going on right now... hearing that there is hope and that I can do something with myself is so helpful to me! Giant hugs to both you guys, and everybody. The last few days this thread has been getting me down because everyone seems so sure of themselves, and I'm so unsure. But hearing such inspired words gives me hope that I can work this out.

Aw, you're welcome, I'm glad that helped a little. Oh definitely, it can be very scary deciding what you want to do. It is important to remember that everyone's scared and unsure at some point (even the people who seem sure).

Aww, please don't worry, and try not to get too down, MrsPepper. Everyone learns and decides what they want to do, what they're meant to do, at so many different times in their lives. It happens when it's meant to happen for everyone. And when you do decide, you'll know that it's the right thing for you... when you find it, you'll know it. And though it hasn't happened yet, I know that you definitely will work it out!

I want to be in the voice-acting business. That or in computer animation.

Great and encouraging advice! When I grow up I wish to be a movie maker. I would like to make sci-fi, claymation, and traditional animated films. Personal goals for me are for none of my films to be R-rated, or have cussing and adult themes in them. I'd also some what like to be a science fiction author.
