Sad news

I just wanted to let everyone know that my fiancee's grandfather passed away this afternoon. He was 81 years old and had been suffering from heart failure for quite some time. Recently he began having kidney problems and was hospitalized this week for pnemonia and a staff infection where his pacemaker was located. They did all they could to make him comfortable, but his body shut down. He did pass peacefully. My fiancee will be flying to St. Louis this week to attend the funeral, unfortunatly work requirements will be keeping me in Minnesota. If you all could remember his family in your prayers, I would appreciate it. You all are an awesome family to have and I love you all very much.

I'm so sorry! At least he died peacefully. I hope it wasn't drawn out very much. I think it gets to a point sometimes when a person doesn't really have any quality of life, and by then it's just harder on them and their family to stay alive. I know that's what happened with my grandpa- he was on a feeding tube, and couldn't even remember who his own kids were. So I hope it wasn't drawn out terribly long, but I'm still very sorry to hear about it.
