No, but I remember when BOYS were weird, and GIRLS had cooties...
*shocked look* I DO NOT have cooties! Well.... ok, maybe a couple. But I keep them in a box under my bed...

Remember when...

  • Big Bird was like the "un-official star" of Sesame Street?
  • Ed, Edd n Eddy was a new show?
  • Gas prices used to be as cheap as $1.15 a gallon?

When the whole Cartoon Cartoon concept on Cartoon Network was just an idea and not reality?

When SNICK ruled Nickelodeon every Saturday from 6-8?

When Disney was putting out their adaptations of classic fairytales and was making money off of them instead of poorly done sequels?

Remember when:

Corporations actually decided to give a show a chance to become famous, instead of begging for instant hits?

FCC regulations didn't make kids shows thoroughly unprofitable, and thus they were on every channel in the afternoons and Saturday Mornings?

Toy lines actually stayed on the shelves longer than 2 months, and didn't cost as much as a Buik, making them impossible to sell?

Most of the cartoons on Nick Jr were japanese animated shows (Non-Violent)?
Can I say, I never cared for those? I mean, had we got some weird stuff like Doraemon and Anpanman, I probably would have enjoyed them. But I hated those Noozels. Still a 40000% improvement over the junk on that network now.

I'll add a 4th. Remember when Nick also aired DIC shows, even though they were still on in Syndication, like Inspector gadget and Heathcliff?

I definately remember that. He will again someday...I believe.

Do you remember when....

There was no Elmo's World
Elmo didn't appear in EVERY episode of the show.
Most SSL stories centered around Big Bird and not the furry red monster.

Or that ABC & USA (Sonic and Mario) and that FOX (TMNT) did the same?

TGIF was on every friday night back in the late 80's through the 90's?
The California Raisins were popular and spun two special movies, a saturday morning cartoon, records, shirts, coloring books, and other items?
There were cassette tapes?
