Eh, such is why I havent watched tv in ages(cept for the occational Seinfeld, Simpsons, or Kin gof the Hill rerun)

All this reality tv, 'extreme this, extreme that' commercials,
tough guy rap metal/boy band/Eminem/solo girl garbage, MTV indoctrinating, terrorism, and crass addiction epidemic to having a cell phone surgically attached to one's head in public needs to go the way of the Macarena, Baha Men, mullet, and Telletubbies.

It's like were still living perpetually in 1998 5 years later. sad.

Indeed, death to reality tv shows!
Me too! Basically I just watch reruns, Drew Carrey, Frasier, and Simpsons. Other than that I just dust of my old Rocky and Bullwinkle tapes and watch those.

TV has taken a Total dive recently. Anyone see that A.U.S.A. show last night? PAthetic! Worst sitcom ever. It's even worse than Will and Grace, so you can see how I feel! I saw it for five minutes and tried to destroy my TV!

And I am SOOOOOO sick of American Idol! Someone just snap Simon's neck already! He's a bitter dried up old queen, we get the joke!

And at least one of the contests is in the same boat, in that she's a former "adult video star". I just get ticked off with the whole thing.
It turnd out in ythe Brtirsh Big Brother 3. The jolly balck gilr had an equity card and had been in TV before. That and the male model

Oh and most of the people on Pop Idol/Fame Academy/ whatever have done the talent show circuit before but I still can get adicted to them!!

I think there are some innovative ideas. I like a British Gme show type thing called Without Prejuice. The panel has to award £50000 to one of five contestnts. They narro this down by information given to them from the contestants suh as Work, education, background, beliefs, wishes etc. Very adictive. Quite intelligent
Briitsh Tv is not bad espeially channel 4.

Wasn't she also in some Bondage stuff though too. I'd call that porn. And sick and twisted. :stick_out_tongue:

But really, who can take Joe Millionaire seriously? It's all staged.

"What happens when he accidentally reveals the truth?"

Like it was an accident.

I'll admit that most of the reality shows are not too good (Joe Millionaire is my guilty pleasure). However, my two absolute favorite reality shows are almost nothing like the Survivors and the Temptation Islands. The Mole is about observation skill. It isn't about being the most liked and best looking. In order to do well a person has to have good observation skills (and a little luck). It's great for us viewers at home, because we too can figure out who the mole is (it's like a big game of Clue).

The Amazing Race is like a big travel show. In one episode you start off in Mexico but end up in Scotland. Plus a little bit of culture manages to sneak it's way in. This show is also about skill and luck (actually, luck plays a huge part in this game)...
