Let's see. I just worked my way through a collection of Ursula LeGuin's Earthsea stories, and I re-read "The Shipping News" by Annie Proulx.

I'm also working on "The High King's Tomb," the third book in Kristen Britain's Green Rider series. It's a wonderful series, well-written. It's a shame that BCCLS only permits one renewal for most books; I felt a little sad to return the first two books to the library.

Today, I learned about an organization called BookCrossing. The way it works is, its members "register" books that they have and leave them in a designated drop point for others to pick up and read, and there's some kind of tracking and journaling system on the group's Web site. It sounds kind of cool; I'm thinking of sending one of my own books out into the system.

I knocked out Odd Thomas and Forever Odd. I'm halfway through Brother Odd, but my happiness has went down the drain, cause I cant read it any more because I have to read 1984...ick...

I like King, but I think Dean Koontz is a better author

I just finished reading "Who Censored Roger Rabbit?" (which was later loosely adapted into the fantastic film: "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?") and loved it.

Was very different from the movie that was based off of it, but still a great great (I'll be honest...I like the movie better).
I tried to read this book, it's way different then the movie.

The last group of books I read were: Steve Martin's autobiography, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and To Kill a Mockingbird.

Happens all the time - the movie is way different from the book it's based on.

I just read, to name a few: "Mill on the Floss" by George Eliot and "Thursday Next: First Among Sequels" by Jasper Fforde. These days I'm working my way through "Time's Eye" by Arthur C. Clarke.

I'm thinking about either reading a Harry Potter book, or a book from the Dune series.

So far this year I've read Jodi Picoult's first 3 books (Songs of the Humpback Whale, Harvesting the Heart, and Picture Perfect) and I'm currently working on her 4th (Mercy)
