Radar the teddy bear

Anyone know when Big Bird first got Radar or when Radar's first appearance was? I know that Big Bird was given the bear by Mr. Hooper, but is there an episode that showed this?

As if I could almost recall when Mr. Hooper gave Radar to Big Bird in one episode; could it have been when Big Bird was in hospital after his tonsils were removed? I remember the ice cream he got then!

I herd that before, and it sound's really familer. That could possibely be the one. and I remember big bird telling the story, too. But I'm not sure if that's what it was about.
