Questions about SST Credits

Another point of confusion for me: the credits do mention that the Muppets are property of the Muppets LLC Holding Company. I thought as of 2005, Sesame Workshop held that license?

The of course are referring to a certain frog that pops up in old footage from time to time. Other than him, Big Bird, Oscar, Elmo, etc. all property of SW. Though I swear the credits say "Jim Henson's Muppet Performers"

I've gone through each page of credits on ten different episodes, and while the word Muppet is liberally used, "Jim Henson" does not appear at all, not even once, not in any context. Not "Jim Henson's Muppets", not "Jim Henson's Muppet Performers", not even "The Muppets were created by Jim Henson". Like I said, his name appears absolutely nowhere.

AND to my understanding, Kermit no longer appears in any sketches; old or new.

That's kinda shameful...They should at least have "Thanks to Jim Henson"...Although, if we're going down that path, shouldn't they be thanking the woman who originally came up with SS before getting Jim on-board too?

I'll have to check if Mrs. Ganz-Cooney is on there. I wasn't looking for her name, so I don't remember.

What I'm having some trouble believing is that this hasn't been discussed here before. At least I haven't found anything about it.

Yeah, that's a big middle finger to Jim right there. Of course, this isn't surprising at all, considering this is Disney we're talking about.

Yeah, I hate the way it just says "Sesame Street Muppets" now. It should at least say "Jim Henson's Sesame Street Muppets," even if they don't credit Jim Henson in the Muppeteer cast list

I'm bumping this thread again because 1 — My question was never satisfactorily answered, and 2 — because the show is debuting a brand new opening and closing sequence for it's landmark 40th season and I want to know if this going to be rectified.

WHAT? Sesame Street's getting ANOTHER new opening/closing sequence? The hip-hop intro was only introduced two years ago!

But then again, Sesame Street did get a new opening sequence for its 30th season (that "retro" intro with kids playing with Big Bird in Central Park).

Now we can say the 2007 hip-hop opening was the most short-lived Sesame Street opening sequence.

That's what I heard on last week's episode of The Muppet Cast at least. I think it was last weeks. It could have been a couple weeks ago.
