The one big thing I can say is if you feel like you’re blowing off too much of your cash, or you feel you earned a good amount from luck, stop yourself whenever you can. It’s very easy to get addicted in hopes you’ll earn more money, and the consequences of that never end well. I learned that the hard way.

Stick with the slot machines.
I’ve been on a number of bus trips to Atlantic City. They give you a $20 roll of tokens. When that’s gone, I’m done.
You should have a set amount you’re willing to lose. Fury, a hundred, whatever. That money will go faster than you think.

Table games- poker, blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat- you have to put down more to play. Bigger payoffs, but more to get in the game.

Iamazed me how much some high rollers drop in casinos. They could lose thousands of dollars in one fell swoop, and not bat an eye.
It’s like more music net I ever saw in my life.

Just be careful. In casinos there are no clocks and no windows. You can’t tell if it’s day or night. That’s the idea. Keep you pumping money and not keeping track of time.

Some people are of the belief that despite earning a Ph.D., unless you actually practice medicine, then you don't deserve to hold the title of "Doctor," as somebody on this forum has pointed out regarding Dr. Jill Biden.

But here's a different take on that . . . does this mean that those within the religious profession should not hold such a title since they don't practice medicine either? I know in certain denominations, church leaders/ministers/pastors/preachers/whoever actually have Dr. as part their title.

The Dr. for many clergy is if they have a PhD in Theology or Divinity. It’s not necessary to be a pastor. To run a church you also need considerable administrative skills, or hire a staff to do so.
My aunt has a PhD in Theology, it helps her being a teacher, but not run a church.

Does anyone have any idea why even to this day, a lot of animated series continue to record the characters' dialogue and other vocal effects in mono, even though stereo has been a thing for decades? It's especially telling when other items in the soundtrack (music scoring, certain sound effects, etc.) are in stereo.

I’m not to sure when it comes to animation soundtracks. But music, mono sometimes sounds better than stereo.

The Beatles, for example. Their original British pressings were mono. Most British record players were mono. Stereo really didn’t become big until 1967. Early American releases were issued on Capitol records with “Electronically re-channeled stereo” which was really distorted mono.
Their 1967 masterpiece, Sgt. Pepper, was issued in both mono and stereo. The mono version actually sounds better.

Stereo records came into their own in 1967 with the rise of FM radio. Records broadcast on the radio sounded better than most people heard on record players at home.

Movies started having better sound quality first with Sensurround, then with Dolby.

Stereo tv didn’t really come along until the 90s. You could makeyour tv sound better hooking it up to a stereo receiver. But until the 90s most TV sets only had one speaker, so chances are good you would only get mono sound.

In the mid-70s Quadrophonic sound, with four speakers instead of two, was going to replace Stereo, but it never really caught on.

Is anyone here rather knowledgeable about cellphones, particularly LG brand phones? Because my phone has had a problem for about a month now that I can't figure out how to fix. . . .

Whenever I end a phone call or send an outgoing text, the SMS notifications I receive afterward make no sound whatsoever, despite my settings clearly indicating that my sound settings are turned on. If I receive a text message, then yeah, my SMS notification will make a sound, but that's it, my other SMS notifications make no sound at all.

Does anyone know what the problem is or how to fix it?

These are littered in my yard all the time, and I have no clue what they're supposed to be.

You might want to go and check this out with MetroPCS. I own a LG K30 and never had I encountered the issue you're dealing with. Have you tried restarting your phone?

A couple of times, but that hasn't resolved the issue. I've even gone into the individual app settings (in this case, Phone and Messages) to ensure their sound settings are set to play a sound whenever a notification comes in, but that still has not resolved the issue.
