@D'Snowth

Is it pronounced D'SnOth? (as in "snow"?
Or D'SnOWth? (with the "OW" sound.

Just curious because I've always pronounced "Snowth" as SNOWth with a long o.

That's been a big debate in the Muppet fandom for years. Considering that Snowths are cow-like creatures, and that the name is supposed to be a combination of the words "snout" and "mouth," I personally have always pronounced it "Sn-OW-th," but I know there's many people out there who pronounce it "SNOW-th."

Yeah, I tend to pronounce it as "Snow-th." I think of it like sixth, seventh, eighth, etc., cause you have the word, then "th" after it.

Why would people think "Snowth" was pronounced with the long o sound anyway?

Because like Schfifty mentioned, it's essentially the word "snow" with a "th" suffix.
