How about it means (Just guessing) G-Block= Gossip-Block a section (block) of news having to do with entertainment gossip.

I've been watching that show for so long and thought that 'G Block' sounded rather odd or kinda perverted.
I was actually gonna write and ask Shepard Smith what that meant.
But Gossip would be right, since that's the entertainment part of the show.
