I know it is too late for any more Muppet playsets, but if there had been more, what playsets should have been made? what characters and accessories should have been included?

Here are my choices:

Veterinarians Hospital
character included: Janice.
Pack-in characters included: a penguin, a Sheep, and a Cow.
additional accessories: operating table, first aid kit, hat, needle, heart pump, popcycle stick, and possibly an overhead light (if there could be a way to hang it above the operating table).
fetaures: openign cabnet doors and opening drawers.

The Muppet Show Stage
Character included: vaudville Kermit.
Accessories: hat, cane, backdrops (the muppet show arches, fozzies monologues, the muppet show sign, the backdrop from the short scenes with the guest stars in the first season, the backdrop for some of Rowlfs U.K. spots, and plane blue/ purple/ black backdrop), and talk spot wall.
features: moving curtains, balcony, and orchestra pit (that can slide in and out of the stage platform).

Mallory Gallery
ccharacter included: biker piggy.
Accessories: two removable windows (one broken, one not), baseball diamond, baseball diamond display cabnet, red ropes and poles, and motorcycle.

Happiness Hotel
Character Included: Bellhop Rizzo.
pack-in characters: three bellhop rats.
addiitional accessories: three suitcases, and luggage cart.

Bear On Patrol
Character included: Sergent Link Hogthrob.
pack-in character: octopus.
accessories: hat, handcuffs, typewriter, phone, stamp, and wanted posters.
features: opening doors.

what do you all think?

I've had a few lingering in my mind for a while here, and I'd have been equally happy with any of them. Here's my ideas:

  • Happiness Hotel Lobby (with Bellhop Rizzo)
  • Happiness Hotel Room (with Reporter Gonzo)
  • Muppet Boarding House (with Pajama Link and Baab the Lamb)
  • The Hispaniola (with Clueless Morgan)
  • Scrooge's Office (with Kermit as Bob Cratchit)
  • Cratchit House (with Belinda Cratchit)
  • Treasure Island (with Mad Monty)
  • Singer's Office (with Bobo as Rentro)
  • EM's Church (with Floyd)
  • Vet's Hospital (with Nurse Janice)
  • MTI Pub (with Billy Bones)

I really wanted an EM bus playset with Dr. Teeth 2 as a pack in.

And a MFS Laboratory playset with lab rats.

A MTM Diner playset with waiter rats.

A TMS stage with Muppet Monsters.

A Balcony with Astoria.

And a band pit with instruments and Nigel the Conductor.

[*]Cratchit House (with Belinda Cratchit)

I would change this one to Peter Cratchit, only because Belinda would be weird to have without Betina, and Peter can stand on his own more easily. Also, personally, I thought Peter was really funny.

You know... Waaaaaaaaay back when... Came up with some playset ideas, had 'em detailed in descript with the accessories and features. Unfortunately, I couldn't find 'em in my files.

Basically...
Grizzly Farms with Mrs. Emily Bear.
Tales from the Vet home office with Mulch.
Bear On Patrol Station with Patrol Chief Link Hogthrob.
Not sure what the fourth one was.

Despite owning no Muppet Treasure Island figure, I think that Hispaniola playset is the most attractive of all those listed - collector's have mentioned before that they were without a place to put them and this might have spurred me to buy some of the pirate-style figures...

I think that idea for a deluxe stage playset would be a good idea
Figure: Nigel the conductor
includes the stage with opening curtain, with a balcony and an orchestra pit (the pit would have a drum set and a stan up piano)

Also the Happiness Hotel Bus that could fit anyone, and somehow you could fit Scooter, Fozzie, Gonzo on the bumpers

The El Sleazo Cafe would have been cool, with perhaps Fozzie in bartender disguise and including a removable parlor piano (so Rowlf could have something besides his baby grand to play).

I love the movie theater idea from TMM. Every time I walk into a somewhat crowded movie theater I am immediately reminded of those scenes.

The EM bus would have been so flippin' awesome.

The Muppet jacuzzi with Vacation Gonzo, Rizzo or even Piggy. Accessories could include leis, tropical beverages, etc.

The Hispaniola would have to be gargantuan to house all the pirates. However, if they released it with "Some Assembly Required" and included Clueless Morgan it could have worked.

I would have gone bananas for a Pete's Diner if it had included Tattooey, Yolanda and/or any of the other rats.

The testing lab from MFS would have been cool with rats as well.

Bear on Patrol with BOP Link would have been close to the top of my list.

A Muppet Show cafeteria with Gladys.

An At the Dance playset with Mildred Huxtetter and George the Janitor. Complete with chandalier and foot pegs on spinning platforms that would allow the figures to "dance".

Muppet Boarding House with Sal Manilla.
