I was just hearning about that on the news. Can't say a whole lot, as I don't watch american news. But it's always sad when an icon dies.

I liked him more so than Tom at NBC or Dan at CBS.

Aww, too bad. I also don't watch a lot of American news channels, but I watched Jennings a few times there, and I found him to be a good guy. RIP Peter. :sympathy:

Peter Jennings was one of my favorite people on TV. He was especially helpful to me during 9/11. When I heard about his illness - just a couple days after the Pope died, no less - I was devastated, and I figured he probably wouldn't be with us much longer. You like to hold out hope, but lung cancer is so insidious, very few people manage to survive it. I was hoping Peter might be one of the few. 10-4, good buddy. Thanks for everything.

I liked his presentation and delivery style, he was still serious, but something seemed more laid back about his approach, like he was one of us and we were just having a conversation with him about various news events. It is very sad that he died, and so quickly.

Out of all the world anchors; he was the classiest. Rest in peace Mr. Jennings.

I just signed on to MSN and heard about this. This is very saddening, I watched him a few times but unfortunatly never paid much attention to news anchors. Though his name was widely know among many.. Rest In Peace.
