Ken, is that a hint??? Hmmm...wha could palisades be making? All the busts and whatnot are already licensed...

Luke, you really should check out beast wars..it starts off a little shakey, but is widely regarded as the best Transformer show EVER. IMO, one of the top 3 cartoons of any variety ever....although admittedly season 2 and 3 are really what I'm thinking of...season one is not without it's charms, but nothing super-special either....although still light years ahead of armada...

Yeah some of the G.I Joe stuff is done by Palisades but goes through Hasbro does it not ? I'm sure someone mentioned to me there was a connection there. Hmmmmm - Ken - if you are gonna make any Transformers stuff make sure it includes Soundwave, he was my fave Transformer.

I've not seen Beast Wars but i'll sure try to check it out !

Luke, which version of Soundwave do you mean? To my knowledge, there are three different Transformers named Soundwave listed as follows.
1 G1 Soundwave: This is the classic cassette recorder with miniature cassettes for different missions, acted as Megatron's truly loyal second in command.
2 Machine Wars Soundwave: This guy is one of the master tanks from the lineup.
3 Beast Wars Soundwave: This one was part of a group of four mutations. Basically, he's a muddy gold-brown alligator that has vestages of a big brown bat displayed in both of the figure's transformations.
Hope this helps.

I'm certain he means the original, best version. The others were not even the same character, just toys with the same name in order to keep the trademark. Incidentally, a bust of g1 soundwave was released a short time ago...it looks pretty neat...there are rumours that he may be added to the commemorative series reissues in the next year as well

Yes i mean the Generation One cassette recorder Soundwave - i still have the figure. I had heard the rumors about him being re-issued too - i think they are doing it in Japan quite soon.

it's a possibility, but not a certainty...still, I expect him to be reissued sooner or later...at least in Japan...might be too "un-safe" for american kids though...

I still have my original, as well..I beleive he was the first TF I ever got...also ahve his original 5 tapes, although I'm missing the later ones from ratbat on...I mainly collect TF's from 84/85 when I buy g1 stuff....

But Corey, doesn't Star Wars suck? I mean after all, it started in the '70's, right?

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
