<Hugs!> Thanks everyone!
The wedding was WONDERFUL. It was a beautiful ceremony. I cried twice. HAPPY tears! Tears of OH MY GOSH IT'S REALLY HAPPENING! It was lovely. And the reception was GREAT! I haven't heard of or from anyone who did NOT have an amazing time. Also, as far as I can tell, my toast has been unanimously voted the best of the evening.
Grandma was mentioned numerous times in other toasts, though, and my sister-- the bride-- even quoted her directly.
As for Grandma herself, she has seen some pictures and a handful of very brief videos of the wedding, and heard about it. Apparently she WAS feeling up to attending the wedding that day, but there was a whole bunch of documentation that had to go through for it, she only would have been able to go to the ceremony, and they could only get the Medicar to take her there, not back, so... it didn't work out. But she's doing very well. Still in a wheelchair, but she can get from her bed to the wheelchair without any trouble at all, and she didn't mind having my fifteen-pound dog on her lap. (The dog wasn't comfortable, but Grandma was!) We had a lovely visit with her yesterday, and while it does look like she'll be in the rehab center for a while, it does NOT look like it'll be another six month stretch, or anywhere NEAR that, as the last one was.
So does anyone else equate "rehab center" with a facility entirely different from the one where my grandmother actually is, thanks to countless celebrities?
