In my opinion, the seventh season was when it started getting better again. I thought the first four seasons were great but seasons 5 and 6 (minus some episodes here and there) were meh. We've had some great seven part story arcs starting with season 7 recently like Stakes, and a lot of funny and creative one shot stories. I like the stuff with Fern, Finn's sentient grass sword son.
