I just thought I was being discriminated against because I don't rate using Fozzies.
*laughs* Well... that IS part of it.

I figured I should further elaborate on myself...

Hi all! My screenname is theprawncracker (taken, of course, from Pepe's line in Muppets From Space, "De Prawn Cracker wins"), and I've been a member here nearly five years now ( ). When I started out here, I was only 15 years old--and incredibly annoying (I thought so, anyway). After a few months of membership, I was recruited by Mr. B. Regard for use in his forum series "The Moppet Family." Mr. Regard asked me to portray Jack Bandit, a thief with mob connections (and a friend/mode of transportation that's a moose). It was all up hill from there. I began writing fan-fiction with my first story "Muppet High" (which, in comparison to my more recent fan-fics, is awful) and I was hooked. I felt that fan-fiction made me grow closer to the characters and made me an even bigger Muppet fan. I continued with stories such as "The Revenge of Elmo," "Old Friends Who've Just Met," "Street Smarts," "Perfect Harmony," "Don't Trip the Driver," "Men Are Pigs," "The Muppets' Mid-Age Crisis" and more!

Aside from fan-fic, I also post tons of other places on the forum. Really the only sub-forums you won't find me in are "Puppetry," "Fantasy Worlds," and "Bear in the Big Blue House." I've developed a reputation (with helps from the likes of Beauregard, D'Snowth, and MrsPepper) as a muffiner--that is, I'm known to easily derail topics and start throwing penguins around.

I like to pride myself in being a forever-optimistic Muppet fan. No matter what, I always try to look on the bright side of things (even after Muppets' Wizard of Oz, and that's saying something). I always think that the best is yet to come--and I know that our Fuzzy Renaissance will be along before we know it! This optimism of mine prompted me to start my own blog: The Muppet Mindset. Stop by!

So anyway... that's probably enough about me. I've been here nearly five years, and I started out as a noob--just like everyone else. But now I'm part of the top five posters (not that post count really makes a difference), I regularly host the MC Awards, I e-mail questions to Muppet writer Jim Lewis, and... I'm no longer annoying! (I hope...) MC is my home away from home while I'm at home (and even while I'm not). I've got a great family here, and I don't honestly think I could ever leave.

Go Muppets!

 Hello. My name is Marty. I've been a member here since about 2006. I was living on my own in a rented unit before moving back in with my family and I wanted some friends to talk to, so one night I joined the MC community.

Since then I've made many good internet friends and I've developed a very deep appreciation for the works of Jim Hensen.

I'm delighted to call MC my second family.:super:

(LOL at how even though i had been around since the beginning, i don't fit the definition of "old member" due to post count
You know you'r right I don't know why I did not think of that.
Any One who has been here from the start of the fourms to(lets say) 2005 And Don't have 500 post. You count as a older member.
And agin anyone 2006 or over has to have 500 post or more to count as a older member.
And of couse as the years go bye the years the years to count as a older member will change.
But we will get there when we get there.
And Thanks to every body who has posted here all ready:wink:

Lets' see. I'm Oscarfan (anyone who's conversed with me via email know my real name)m named such because I love Sesame Street and Oscar. Long time lurker, then joined May 2008. I've made some comics in the fan art section (which I should update soon). I also kill threads often (T*K*O was before my time however). Now, just it back and watch this very thread be killed after I hit "Post Reply".

oh yeah.. forgot to mention.. life long muppet fan.. heh.. mom could set me down in front of Sesame street and not worry about me while it was on.. she says now that may have been a mistake and started this all... since then i've been in search of the muppet fixes.. muppet show, all the movies, all the other tv shows that i've been able to gain access to.. collection of old vhs tapes that are likely in sore need of moving to dvd before they die... (have bought things as they become available, but still have lots of old tv broadcast stuff that hasn't quite made it there yet... - don't tell!) am likely married to my husband because of fraggle rock... we met online (i know, i know..) and i won a phone call over from fraggle trivia and it all took off from there.. really wish we'd been able to do a muppet themed wedding or reception, but it was jan 2003, the palasades figures were just starting to come out (hubby bought me some as a wedding present.. heh..) and we were moving all my stuff 3000 miles the day after, so was very small and simple and we didn't have any muppets (but we have plans in the works for the 10th ann...)
since then.. we have added to our muppet collection.. piece by piece. have had a few higher end items for years (original kermit desk phone..) and lots of plushies and glassware and other bits and pieces that either i've found, or friends have found for me. most of it is currently boxed up for safe keeping, but really hoping we can get a proper display set up here one of these days.. we do have all the photo puppets so far, and are anxious to see how the new ones turn out.. (I really need piggy and at least one other in order to pull off the "life sized muppet nativity" display we've had in mind since they first announced these things...more would be better)
basically, hubby jokes that we need shirts that say something like "yes, we are those weird online muppet people" and we'd actually wear them places... much to the embarasment of the teenage step kids.. heh...

Well, here we go. There will be a quiz later.

My name is Matt and I have been a member of the MC forums since December 19th, 2004. I discovered the Muppets at a very early age and have been hooked ever since. I actually wore out a tape of The Great Muppet Caper that my parents had taped for me off of HBO. TGMC is hands down my favorite Muppet Movie and Fozzie is my favorite Muppet. At a very early age I wanted to be a stand up comedian because of him. Of course I grew up watching Sesame Street and Muppet Babies as well. Every year my family would go fishing in the UP of Michigan and my sister and I would act out the entire Bert and Ernie "Here Fishy, Fishy" sketch. I guess I just shared the same sence of humor as Jim did. I remeber very clearly the day that Jim passed away. My grandmother told me about him and Sammy Davis Jr. at the same time and I felt like I lost my stomach. I was young. I had just turned 10. I didn't fully understand. I know that I thought that it was over though. I thought that the frog had died with him and for me at that age, that was the trully upsetting part. (I am tearing up just typing about it) I then took a break from the Muppets. All through high school, through college and even a few years after that. Then in late 2004 I found MC and I began reading and reading. I discovered Tough Pigs, Kermitage, Muppet News Flash, Fraggle Rocker, Muppet Wiki, The MuppetCast and my Muppet and Henson knowledge just kept expanding and expanding. More importantly my love for the genius that is and was Jim Henson kept expanding and expanding. The Muppets now hold a very special place in my heart. I collect all the memorabilia I can afford and continue to stay active in the Muppet worlds. I would like to take this small oportunity to say thank you to MC. It is by far the quintesential Muppet Forum. It is well run and operated and there is a definite family atmosphere when you share in here. I know that I come and go in spurts but I truly apprecite it. Thank you again.

Real quick my personal life.

I am 29 years old and was born in a suburb of Chicago. I lived with my family (Dad-Bruce, Mom-Suzanne, Sister-Sarah, Sarah's Boyfriend-Paul and Dog-Rigby-Miniature Beagle) until very recently in Cicero IL. I now live with two roomates (Amanda and Jennifer) and Jenn's pets (Claudius-cat and Isaac-dog) in a house we rent in Brookfield IL. I work for the Berwyn Police Department as an emergency dispatcher and enjoy my job for the most part. I enjoy acting in community theatre, playing poker and sleeping. Sleep is great. I guess that is pretty much me. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I'm vettech28, but my real name is Renee. As my user name states, I hope to become a veterinary technician when I graduate from college.
I love the Muppets, ever since I was little and I think I'll always love watching them, no matter how long they'll last.

I'm 19 years old and a sophomore in college majoring in Veterinary Medical Technology.
I've written several fanfics, most are Muppet Show outlines, only two are stories. My first one wasn't the best, but absolutely enjoyed writing my second one called "Another Muppet Family Christmas" You'll find the link for it in the fanfic library.

It's amazing to see lots of Muppet fans from everywhere here.

Well, my name is Katie, but the origins of my username came from a childhood nickname (which I still get called sometimes by my mum <3 ). I'm a teenager, I live in Australia, and I've been on MC for a few years now, but I've been a lurcher since roughtly '05, to be honest. I'm a huge fan of anything Henson, esp. The Muppets and Sesame Street, which I wouls watch avidly as a young buck, as well as FR. As well as Muppet-realted things, my other intrests include art (drawing, mostly. But I also love photography and painting), music(progressive/psychedelic/soft/heavy/folk/grunge/classic rock), stagecraft/set designs, makeup/costume, literature, cartoons, collecting and, er, drinking tea. xP I like to dress up, and I'm into all kinds of styles, rather than just pinning myself to one. I also like to express my views on various affairs, even if they're a little outlandish, but I'm not one to shove my opinions down others' throats, even if I can be a little outspoken at times. ;3 When I'm finished school, I kinda wanna study fine arts. Everyone I know wants to be either a doctor or a lawyer... I wanna be an underground cartoonist, which I am in a way, but being a costume designer/mortian also sound enticing. Hey, it keeps punks like me off the streets. Um, and that is all. Coool thread idea, btw!

hi! my name's nick. i've been a member on this absolutely wonderful/awesome/cool/celebration/inspirational/muppetational/etc for ALMOST a year, so i'm not too sure i can be considered an "old" member quite yet. i live in the united states in this amazing state we like to call new york. i'm in a small town, with not too much close by. i live in a fairly large house with my mom, dad, brother, sister, and grandma. MC is a super fun place to talk with people and hear the latest muppety news. if you're new here, i guarentee you'll love it. and if you don't absolutely love it, we'll.........well, there's not rully anything we can do. sorry.

i am going to be a 7th grade student beginning this september. i go to a small Catholic school. i hope one day to be a entertainer, in some way shape or form (puppeteer, actor, musician, bear/comedian, etc. i might also want to be a lawyer.). did you see my muppet reference over there? did you catch that? see? i'm on my way to being the next big comedian. do you see it? i can see it right now.

i've liked the muppets for a while. when i was real little i used to love sesame street. i'd watch it all the time. my mom always tells me stories about how many episodes of sesame street that she had to sit through each day. then as i got older, i never rully payed too much attention to the muppets. once day i turned on the tv, and the muppets' wizard of oz was on. i watched the whole movie and headed for the computer, in search of further information on them and replicas. i found a link to the review of the gonzo replica, which eventually led me here to the forums. i wish muppets was a subject in school. if it was, i would no doubt be aceing it.

well i hope that all interested you. i apologize if it annoyed you, cause i'm known to annoy the heck out of people sometimes (sorta).
