Walking away and out through the opened front door, our host stepped upon the stony squares tiling the sidewalked driveway. This paved pathway led to a closed-off cemetary courtyard, lonely lamppost standing as a grim guard at its outermost exterior boundary. A single figure stood there—leaning against the courtyard's walled outline—breathing the heddiness of the eternal ebony atmosphere. The Count didn't want to disturb this newcomer, opting to serreptitiously simply tap this spirit on the shoulder. The reaction was unexpected... Bats flew frightenedly upwards, long flowing hair swished, the stranger revealed scared surprise on her battiful face. "Oh... Uh... Sorry, didn't mean to" the master stumbled, stricken by the batty beauty before him. If the color red were a person, this would certainly be it—there's red and then there's "rrrrrred"—Sanguina truly embodied her namesake hue. Formerly a heralded movie actress, she had to quit the silver stage—her inner pride hurt, along with those pointy ears of hers having to hide them from view. Safe within the confines of the castle, she could be herself again. For that, the folds of her bloodcolored bathrobe unfurled, revealing her cumly curves contained inside her underlying nightclothes. "Count..." she declared demurely, "was I a bad person to leave that screwy movie valley behind?" "Of course not my dear... You were brave—not to mention you showed pride in your battyness with such a bold move." "Good... Because after all..." she sighed "I'm not bat, I'm just blooddrawn that way." "Yes, I know... And you'll alvays be a star here amongst your friends." Contented in being accepted by the master, a marble white 5 was withdrawn from her inner pocket and pocketed in his coat by that garnet gloved hand of hers. Four additional batty viewers alighted on the wall behind them, overhearing and onlooking, agreeing to attend their vampiric benefactor from here on out. Swiping her mitted fingers softly across her crimsoned kissers, a mark of her thanks was imparted upon the hovering storm cloud as it too flew off leaving her alone once again.
