Page 4: Quadruped RestUp.

The Count, continuing to check the corridors, found himself downstairs in the dungeonlike lounge of his castle. Dust gathered on the corner of the barside counter, stools stilled instead of swiveling, the overhead lights casting an eerily dimmed glow. Straightened crossbones held both the ensconced elevator and external exit grimly shut. Twas evident the shut-down quality seen through this section of his domain. Furry feet and hounded head rose from its basket bed, glowing eyes in the middle of the gloom detecting the master's presence. "No vorries Rune, it's just me" said the Count, patting his howly haunter's head. Phantomly though the canine claimed to be, even his body shivered in the cold November night wind. Previously belonging to a Baskerville Baker Street busybody—not to mention busy brain—this creepy curr made his way into our host's haunted home. Since he did not wish any of the souls staying here to be uneased, the master of monsters found a blackened blanket, covering Rune's furred form comfy cozy. In exchange, Rune's paws furiously dug around inside the basket as if searching for something he just had to have at the moment. Finding it, he presented the Count with a marble white 4, dogged eyebrows raised pleadingly for the vampire to accept. Happily doing so, the Count took the 4 in hand, bade his pooch pet good night, and commended another storm cloud sphere off to Ed's dark dormitory.

You paint such a picture with each chapter, the detail is so amazing, it really makes me feel like I'm in the Count's castle! And Rune, a boy dog? You said him so I'm assuming. Very nice, keep it coming!

Heh... Yes, Rune is a male canine, he's the one that's based on the design and build of Sprocket.
Unfortunately, to post Page 5, I'm in need of either an MUP3 or lyrics of the song sung by the Five Dancers on Sesame. Maybe another quick stop at the Original SST Lyrics Archive is in order... But if someone could please find either and send it to me, I'd appreciate it. If these can't be found, then I'll probably talk to you to find a suitable song substitute for my red-haired batty beauty shown off in Claudia's Muppet Made-Ups thread.

Indeed, indeed, indeed!
Splendid!
Marvelous!
Exquisite!
Beyond the ordinary--in fact, extraordinary!

Bethy has said it all!
I won't comment any further...
I'll allow silent admiration to simply flow!

Keep it up.

Page 5: 1-2-3-4-Bat Five!

Walking away and out through the opened front door, our host stepped upon the stony squares tiling the sidewalked driveway. This paved pathway led to a closed-off cemetary courtyard, lonely lamppost standing as a grim guard at its outermost exterior boundary. A single figure stood there—leaning against the courtyard's walled outline—breathing the heddiness of the eternal ebony atmosphere. The Count didn't want to disturb this newcomer, opting to serreptitiously simply tap this spirit on the shoulder. The reaction was unexpected... Bats flew frightenedly upwards, long flowing hair swished, the stranger revealed scared surprise on her battiful face. "Oh... Uh... Sorry, didn't mean to" the master stumbled, stricken by the batty beauty before him. If the color red were a person, this would certainly be it—there's red and then there's "rrrrrred"—Sanguina truly embodied her namesake hue. Formerly a heralded movie actress, she had to quit the silver stage—her inner pride hurt, along with those pointy ears of hers having to hide them from view. Safe within the confines of the castle, she could be herself again. For that, the folds of her bloodcolored bathrobe unfurled, revealing her cumly curves contained inside her underlying nightclothes. "Count..." she declared demurely, "was I a bad person to leave that screwy movie valley behind?" "Of course not my dear... You were brave—not to mention you showed pride in your battyness with such a bold move." "Good... Because after all..." she sighed "I'm not bat, I'm just blooddrawn that way." "Yes, I know... And you'll alvays be a star here amongst your friends." Contented in being accepted by the master, a marble white 5 was withdrawn from her inner pocket and pocketed in his coat by that garnet gloved hand of hers. Four additional batty viewers alighted on the wall behind them, overhearing and onlooking, agreeing to attend their vampiric benefactor from here on out. Swiping her mitted fingers softly across her crimsoned kissers, a mark of her thanks was imparted upon the hovering storm cloud as it too flew off leaving her alone once again.
