That does it, I'm heading over to California tomorrow!
Mark Twain once reported, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." It gets hotter in the fall for a few weeks and nobody has air conditioning so that kind of bites, but it's nothing compared to summers in Houston, Texas!

I used to have to start my car, crank the AC and go back inside the house for five minutes every morning. Now I walk everywhere here in SF because nearly everything's a 10 minute walk and it's usually nice enough out. It gets so cold in the back of the toy shop where I work that I'm actually wearing a hoodie today!

I'm skeptical, but I really hope that my area will have rain this week. The middle of summer is too much inside of my house, which gets to around the mid-80s.

Wellp, the weather reports are forecasting a severe heat wave for us this weekend, where we can expect temperatures up to the lower-to-mid 90s, and heat indexes up to 100 with plenty of abundant sunshine.

This summer's certainly been a lot more bearable than they have been the past few years or so... again, we've had a lot of rain this summer, so that's been a big help.

Unfortunately, now that summer's starting to wrap up, it's just going to get hotter now; and there's El Nino to contend with, so it looks like a warm fall and winter this year.

I am so using this thread to rant. So, I moved to Washington state about 3 months ago due to my job and I was it is going to rain all the time. Boy, was I wrong. Turns out I am living in a desert in Washington! It is almost always above 100 degrees and with my job working out on the tarmac it feels double. By 9am in the morning I am just soaked with sweat. But hey, I got a lovely farmer's tan going on.

Argh, my air conditioner in my car is broken, so the heat is even worse when I'm driving :s

Ok, NOW it starts to get hot. I knew that this was too good to be true. I knew that we were gonna have to pay for this nice weather SOMEHOW. Oh well, better now than getting slammed next June.

94 degrees today...

And I had to be out in that heat today on a wild goose chase... it's so hot out, I about nearly threw up I felt so sick! Yuck!

HAWKEYE: When is this gonna end?
B.J.: About five minutes before winter... come on, let's get out from under this hot moon.
HAWKEYE: I think the cheese is melting.
