Hey Doug,
The puppet looks great, but the toungue is diagonal, could that be it?

Correct the tongue and redid eyebrows and eyelids.

Still, something is bugging me. Hmm.

It could just be "post-building antsyness"----sometimes I get that where I just want to keep building and tweaking things after I know I'm finished. Step away from it for a day or so, then go back & look at him.

Put him somewhere you wouldn't see him.

Nice Puppet though.

I blogged the other day about that exact same thing...PERFECTIONISM! Ugh! I have yet to make a puppet I am completely happy with. I even started building my puppets using a video camera to make certain my eyes are exactly the way I want them LOL I guess that's a plague that artists just can't shake LOL I see nothing wrong with your puppet.

It's an ill-fitting shirt (and not a great color), the eyes aren't well focussed and there are no gaps in the teeth (which isn't a big deal but tossing it out there).

after viewing it longer I think the puppets right eye is lower than the other and angled a little down- however, it could be the angle the puppet is in the photo...LOL ...again, it looks great though.

Thank you for honest (yet a bit brutal) critique MGov. To clarify, this is a puppet of a specific person that ALWAYS wears a green shirt like the puppets. I would agree of its ill fit, as it fits the actual person the same way.

You are correct that the eyes seem a bit off. I am trying to replicate a layer of bags this person has and it is causing me challenges because of the layer effect.

The teeth, I tend not to gap any of my puppets teeth. I've tried before and they just seem to look almost buck tooth or too gapped. Just my personal, subjective opinion.

I took out the fur from the eyebrows and made it felt and repositioned the nose a bit. It is starting to look a bit better, but still, something is not right.
