Oh yes, Beauregard, it is quite true. Alan Rickman will be the voice of Marvin the Paranoid Android. I have a feeling that many fans of the book will in some way or another be very disappointed with aspects of the film version.

I saw Sideways yesterday, great movie. Thomas Haden Church was incredible. After the movie, I found myself wishing he'd had a bigger role in Tombstone. He was hilarious and tragic and a jerk yet somehow I felt sorry for him. If he wins his Best Supporting Actor Oscar I'll be thrilled. He deserves it. I also loved Paul Giamatti's character. The metaphors comparing him to a pinot grape were so obvious yet so emotional. It's odd, but I really connected with both Jack and Miles for different reasons. Maybe it's because I'm a jerk and it makes me sad. I did find myself wanting wine, and lots of it, after watching that movie.

As mentioned in College Dorms,I'm glad you liked Sideways a lot Ryan. It's one of those films that can really mean something;its educational, informative, and to the point.I can relate to Virginia Madsen's character, just an average person;who is generous, respectful & honest.

As expected; The Magic Roundabout was amazing. I went to see it today and it was just as I expected- if not better. Joanna Lumley was fabulous as Ermintrude and I was veru suprised at how good Robbie Williams' acting was. Only wish they'd release the soundtrack. By far, the best bits were the 2 drug references about Dylan were the best.

Went to see Meet the Fockers yesterday, it was really disappointing. Not many funny moments; not even jokes about foreskins could make me laugh- although it seemed a bit cheap.

Think I'm seeing Shall We Dance tomorrow with J-Lo and R-G, looks really good and it's from the makers of Chicago!

I'm a little late getting back to this post...sorry Dee. However, now that it's been a few weeks, I can say that the movie's still stuck in my head. I find myself thinking about everyone's situation and pondering on buying it when it finally comes to video. Megan and I had thoughts of watching Finding Neverland this weekend, but that didn't happen...too busy with school.

I would, however, like to ask people about the upcoming Star Wars installment. What do you think's going to happen to some of the characters we've been introduced to, namely Jar Jar Binks? What would you like to happen with these characters? We know the fate of the Jedis, and I for one think that Jar Jar will finally get his moment of glory. He was a complete sissy in I, swayed the entire Senate to give power to Palpatine in II...I just think the third time's the charm for this guy, no matter how annoying he's been. As for Mace Windu, I'm really hoping he has some tough fight scenes. Samuel L. Jackson was wasted in I, showed off his talents for a very brief moment in II...I'm hoping for an acrobatic, high energy showdown with someone like Dooku (Christopher Lee did such a great job fighting a CG Yoda, let's see how he fares against a flesh and blood person). I would love to see a double death scene, where they both strike the other at the same time. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Saw the trailer for the new Tim Burton 'Willy Wonka' movie; it looks amazing- Johnny Depp looks really good as Mr. Wonka and Tim Burton is most certainly an evil genius!!

I rented Napoleon Dynamite,Hero,Maria Full of Grace,Friday Night Lights & Motorcycle Diaries;all very good.Napoleon Dynamite reminds me of the old John Hughes movies & Revenge of the Nerds.Hero is made by the same director that did Raise the Red Lantern & House of Flying Daggers,a visual feast.Friday Night Lights,I thought of Any Given Sunday & Wildcats.Maria Full of Grace was very moving.Motorcycle Diaries,to me,was Easy Rider mixed in with Papillon.

Watched Mona Lisa Smile with Julia Roberts, Julia Stiles and Kirsten Dunst the other night. I absolutely adored it; my mam and I both thought it was amazing. And that's all I have to say on the matter!
