The New Fleece has arrived! If you are interested in receiving samples please email me your address and I'll get some out to you as long as they last. Any of my customers who have purchased fleece in the last year, your samples are either in the mail or going out this week. Please let me know what you like about the fabric and what you don't. The manufacturer is interested in making it as close to the original as they can and your input will be greatly appreciated.
I also have a little of the original Antron still available if anyone is interested.

Hello to all of my good friends. I know it's been a while since my last post. I've been very busy, but I'm not complaining because business has been good.

I just wanted to add that when you do receive your samples it would be great if everyone could post their thoughts and suggestions on the new fabric. From what I understand, the manufacturer is still in the process of tweeking the fabric and feedback from those who use it would be helpful in contructing something that works for it's intended use...... quality puppets ofcourse!

I've received my sample and must say that my first impression has been a very positive one. The new fabric retains a lot of the qualities that we came to love and appreciate in the old antron fleece. This fabric dyes without resistance to color, is much softer, and doesn't appear to pill as easily as the old antron did. It even has a pile that hides the seams just as well if not better than the old stuff!

So don't be afraid to try it. I think my only con, if I had to come up with one, is a question as to why the price wouldn't be cheaper than the old antron (still $14.50 per yard) when it is not the same material and actually uses less of the thread that was used to make our beloved "Muppet Fleece"?

I'm glad you like the new fleece and I hope it works as well for everyone. In response to your question concerning the price. It was expected to be more per yard than the original because it is more labor intensive to produce. The old was made of a 200 dernier thread that they decided to discontinue. The new is made from 4 50 dernier threads that have to be plied together first before they can then be woven into the fabric. Because of this extra step the manufactureer was concerned that it would cost them more and then would have to pass that onto us. Fortunately, it appears that they are going with the same price, at least for now. I do understand your question and hope I have answered it.

This is some great material!! Soft and stretchy...Definitely every bit the kind of stuff the puppet builder needs to use!

so far i like the new fleece, the sample you sent was of the 12 oz.

will it also be avalible in a 14oz.?
