This is the first I've seen of the 12oz stuff. I can definately see the benefit of having available both weights. I would most likely use this lighter antron for people I think. I could pick the seam out just as easy as with the old fleece. I haven't tried a dye yet since I really don't think I would be able to tell much from a small sample. Really I think I would have to get like 10 or 20 yards and try to dye that to see if it will cover evenly and hold the color well. Still It looks every bit the same as the previous Antron. Dave Privett told me they have changed this fleece several times over the years but it has always pretty much been the same thing. As long as the price doesn't go up much higher, I think I'm going to use it at least on some of my puppets. Kathy>Thanks for the sample by the way.

Your very welcome Shane. I don't have any 12 oz in but have received my 1st order of 14 oz. I still have 12 oz stock of the original should anyone be interested. Samples of the new 12 oz are low....waiting on more to arrive.

I appreciate all the feedback I have received but I've only heard from 6 people so far. I really do want to know what you think...the good........the bad...........the ugly  !

Thanks

Kathy,

I was going to attempt some machine sewn seams, but my machine is broken! UGH!! I'm going to slice some and hand stitch and see what we get.

Can't do dye right now, but sure am interested to see what folks get.

I tried it on the sewing machine and after brushing the seam it had the same clean look as the old.

I understand that this is just the properties of Antron fleece but it would be really nice if the pile of the fleece didn't put off so easily. Thats really the only thing I don't like about it. The old Antron and new do that. You can almost wipe it off the backing with your hand. I understand that's what makes it hide seams so easily but also it makes it a little messy to work with.
