Piggy has grown on me a bit and as long as they do a second head with an open mouth I think I'm good with the look. I'm surprised Kermit is not in wave one of this line. That seems rather bold to do Piggy first. I hope wave 2 is very soon after with Kermit, Fozzie, and maybe Lew Zealand or Beau as the fan favorite.

I wonder who they consider fan fans. Personally, I think Mahna Mahna will sell better than Piggy and is widely known. Not too many widely known fan favorite Muppets.

My concern is how many figures they will get out. There are a LOT of core characters to get through. I hope they do MCC figures to capitalize on its popularity around Christmas and get some cash into the line.

So excited for these! They look awesome! Hope they scale really well with Palisades.

Sounds like Gonzo is in Wave 1 as he has a release date of 4th Quarter 2026.

Piggy is in Wave 2 as her release date is 1st Quarter 2027.

Mahna Mahna and the Snowths didn't have a release date shown.

So I'm kinda guessing that Kermit and maybe Fozzie too will be in the First Wave. NECA just hasn't shown them yet. Hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday.

In the videos from ToyFair, NECA referred to Gonzo, Piggy, and Mahna Mahna and the Snowths all as Wave One.
They should scale well with Palisades!

Ok, you must be right. Just strange that Miss Piggy and Gonzo will be released in different Quarters.

Does anyone have the NECA Sesame Street figures? if so, how do they scale with Palisades?

Toy Habits wrote that the NECA Muppets were noticeably smaller than NECA Sesame Street.

i would think that for the actual puppets, Bert and Ernie would be smaller than Piggy but taller than Gonzo. Maybe i should watch the end of Muppets Family Christmas…

The NECA Sesame figs do scale with Palisades although they are slightly bigger. Unfortunately there’s no easy way to upload pics to the forum or I would cause I’ve taken a few.

Thank you! So which main Palisades figure is Ernie closest in height to? Scooter? Rowlf? Fozzie? A member of the Electric Mayhem?

Don't have any pics myself... Palisades S3 Scooter is about just a smidge taller than Palisades Ernie. Palisades Ernie is as tall as NECA Bert's ears. NECA Count is just a smidge taller than Palisades Ernie. So yes, the figures from NECA scale about okay with the ones from Palisades.

As for NECA Muppet figures appearing smaller, remember the ones shown were prototypes or in-progress figures. Hopefully with Trevor at the helm, he'll know the increments needed for each figure to preserve the proper height scale both for the new line on its own as well as compared to the Palisades line.

The later pics in that album show height comparisons between the NECA Sesame Street figures and some of the Palisades figures. I think the NECA figures are slightly too tall for the Palisades. Since Muppet heights change so much within and between scenes, I think they display together great. The Boss Fight Studio Fraggle Rock figures also fit in great, IMHO.

Thanks for the photo! i agree. NECA SS are slightly too tall. i would think Ernie should be the size of Scooter or Gobo.

Hopefullly, NECA’s Miss Piggy will match the height of their Ernie or be slightly taller.

I don’t know a lot about NECA but i don’t trust them to match Palisades scale. Afterall, why would they want to help fans who are only going to cherry-pick from the line?

They will scale with their Sesame Street line and their Sesame Street line scales well enough with Palisades. However, we need to remember that Palisades Muppet figures are over 20 years old now. The fact that NECA even made an attempt to scale with the Palisades figures shows they care enough to consider existing collections.

The other thing to consider is that some of the Palisades figures don't scale within their own line. Rizzo is way too big and the Diamond Select Rizzo scales better with the Palisades line. Beaker is far too skinny. Dr. Teeth is smaller than he should be for the line. Sweetness is much smaller than he should be, but making him bigger would look wrong.

Muppet scales are an art, not a science. Their sizes in relation to each other are always being cheated.
