Impressive stuff. I'll buy a set of Muppet Babies. I'm a little concerned with the Great Gonzo and Miss Piggy figures, though. They're really committed to that big-headed, closed mouth Piggy head, aren't they? I guess they can't do swappable heads due to the long hair. And Gonzo needs to be a little more hunched over. There's a curvature to his posture that the Palisades figures captured that this one does not.

I think Trevor did mention in one of the SDCC walkthroughs that Piggy is meant to come with a separate head. I wonder if it’ll be done like some of NECA’s other figures like Elvira or Art the Clown where rather than a full head it’s a faceplate. I do hope we see it soon though cause I think what’s throwing it off is the closed mouth. I think it’ll look better with an open mouth expression. I sort of felt the same way about Gonzo until they showed the head with the more calm eyes & that’s when it clicked for me at least.

My main concerns with NECA's Miss Piggy figure are that it actully looks more like Miss Piggy than the Barbie-fied Palisades Signature S1 figure. Yes, we all did the headswap between that figure and the Glamour Piggy variant, but it wasn't until the First Mate Piggy that they got it right.

Baby Animal is the one that bothers me a little. As MWoO pointed out, they did a good job kind of balancing puppet/animated, but Animal is leaning totally toward puppet. I kinda wish they went totally '80s cartoon look. Surely would've appealed to their Turtles and DuckTales demographic too.

There is a place holder for Muppet Babies on the neca store site that says sold out with $0.00 price. I wonder if these will all be in one big box set.
This is another thing I was afraid of. Rowlf needs his piano; Scooter needs his computer. This is a mistake.

Yeah, it does. I would say she's totally the opposite, in that she's looking a little short and stubby if anything.

I personally think the babies are going to come in 2 packs. In the pictures i noticed they had 4 prototypes shown placards between them. I think they're going to go

Scooter & Skeeter
Kermit & Gonzo
Fozzie & Piggy
Rowlf & Animal

I guess we will find out sooner or later. Something else i found interesting is Mark Newman who is the sculptor of these posted about these using the images from D23 but i noticed in the caption he says sculpted many other characters which confirms something i theorised that they have quite a few sculpted but are not showing them yet. I think next year is going to hopefully be big for the line. I wonder if The Muppets will be NECA's new bread & butter since they've lost the TMNT franchise
