Muppites. I think I like it!

HERE IS A MUPPET NEWS FLASH: Yesterday, two Muppites were seen sneaking into the Muppet Newsroom with dynamite...

KERMIT: And now! It's time for the Muppet Show, and for all you Muppites in teh audience, here's a piece of trivia, you already know. Uncle Travellign Matt appears in Muppet Treasure Island.

MISS PIGGY: Oh, thank you, thank you! thank you all! It is I! Miss Piggy, and I just want to say thanks to all my Muppite worshipers out there in the audience. Hello little people! And you might try Piggyites NEXT TIME!

Sorry guys! Uncle Matt isn't in MTI. I was joking, and using it as an example. But, wouldn't it be cool if Kermit DID say that!

How is "Muppites" pronounced?

Does it rhyme with "pup bites"

Or does it have the long e like in "knees like these"?

Also, just out of curiosity, does Muppets even need to be shortened? Could we be Muppet-ites if we wanted?

Muppetites sound like a pair of Muppet stockings.

Muppites is pronounced, "Mup-ites" and rhymes with "Pub Bites"

You're banned for the next 2 seconds.

Okay, it's over.

Anyhow, Muppites is a way of saying "Muppets" but where the "eh" is in Muppets (the "e") you have an "eye" sound for the "i".

Mupp-eye'ts

What'd'ya think?
