Myer Sesame Street display

Does any body know(partically Australian Members) about the Sesame Street display that used to be in the Myer Department Store in the early 1990's and was sold off around 1995? It featured full size animated Sesame Street characters such as Big Bird and The Count.Need to know the other Characters and if anybody has pictures of the display and who made them?

OMG!!! That is so strange! You just sparked an old childhood memory. I remember one of our local department stores in the mall had the large Big Bird. That is so weird. It was weird that they were there in the first place but even more weird that others have the same memory of it.

Back in 2000, FAO Schwarz in New York had a Sesame Street display for selling plush dolls and such. Even though it wasn't that extensive, they did have a spot with Oscar's garbage can and our green friend would be peeking just under the lid, and then spring out and yell "SCRAM!!!" then the lid would slam again. The store has since changed management, closed and reopened, and they tore down the Sesame set, so I don't know what they did with the old fixtures. It would be neat if someone kept them and didn't just throw them away. But then again, what else are you supposed to do with Oscar's stuff?

Was that in the big Myer store in Melbourne city? When I went to melbourne I remember seeing some great window displays but they werent sesame street.

They werent in the windows.They were like an entrance to the toy department and the display was definately at Melbourne and Brisbane and I suspect it must have been all capital cities.

I don't remember right now. The memory is very fuzzy. I will think about it and see if i can remember. Could have been the same store (if those existed here, which they may have). You have to keep in mind that this was years ago. I think I must have been a toddler or atleast 5 or 6. So 20 years ago give or take a few years. I don't think BB moved. Just a statue.

Any of you remember the Sesame Street Store that they had in the Glendale Galleria mall?

ive lived in canberra for 27 years, and i dont remember anything like that...so maybe not in all capital cities...
