My Grail arrived! SKEKSIS bust from DARK CRYSTAL !

Mmmmmm.... after years of search I finally got the best Skeksis Sculpt
ever made:

Anybody knows who's the sculptor?

Where did you get it though? Just from a website or ebay?

I found out who's the sculptor: ASAO GOTO. An asian/american SFX-Artist who did some works for movies. He did a great job on this bust!

It's funny how I got it. I asked an Ebay seller (he listed some old resin kits and magazines) if he has this bust... and he had it! He sad it's the paint master, so he doesn't really want to sell. But if the price is right, he will.
So I ended up paying pretty much for this one!

So was this bust released during the 1980s when the Dark Crystal first came out? What is its story?

It was released in the 90's as a garage kit. Very few were made, I was unable to buy one back then.

Maybe I'll get to more Labyrinth stuff. I like the more obsure characters.

That was the paint master! Well, the colors on the face are so much better than the yellow beak like paint job from PB toys.
