And Fozzie, I agree with you. The more puppets the better, or at the very least, in the case of the Fraggle Movie, if there is to be CG, I hope the original cast has something to do with the execution of it. Be it the new performance capture software, or whatever. Computers are just a tool. As a near-13 year 2D animator, I had a very very hard time accepting that.

In the end it all boils down to story. the best computer animation or puppets won't make a lick of difference if you don't have a compelling story.

Say, what do you guys think about using computer technology to erase the control rods attached to the puppet's arms or legs? Me, I never minded that. But for a movie, you have to wonder...any thoughts?

I'm doing that on all my new projects now. It's time consuming, but really good. Makes performing certain kinds of things much, much easier.
