I hate how they always seemed to be lumped into punk. I stopped telling people I listen to punk since people would always ask me "So you like MCR?" *facepalm*

And that's an insult to KISS, but meh...I digress...

Yeah, I'm not a goth or anything, but I really liked some of MCR's stuff. More to the point, Gerard Way's comic book "Umbrella Academy" was bloody brilliant, I bought every issue when it came out years ago and loved every panel.

I've only just recently become interested in MCR. It's sad that they chose to disband shortly after I discovered them. But of course we still have their music.
