How did The Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas stumble? I LOVED that movie! I thought it was even better than The Flintstones in some ways. It was great to see The Great Gazoo introduced- and I thought everyone involved did a great job bringing those legendary Hanna Barbera cartoons to life.

I didn't necessarily dislike Viva Rock Vegas (I was referring to the box-office figures - it pulled in about $35 million, nearly $100 million off the 1994 Flintstones update, which was likely very disappointing to the studio and everyone involved).

A part of me is sad that the prequel didn't work. I actually think it was more fun to watch, and there was so much hype around the first one it was nearly impossible to judge it on its own merits. (Although I still think Kristen Johnson was too tall to play Wilma. But hey...)

Home On The Range wasn't bad. Mrs. Otter and I rented it a couple of years ago and we liked it. It's a pleasant little time-waster if you have a hole in your schedule.

The Emperor's New Groove was OK - not spectacular, but good for a few yuks. Surprisingly, I thought the Saturday-morning ABC spinoff The Emperor's New School was quite well-done and had some of the funniest and sharpest moments I've seen in a non-Simpsons/Futurama animated show in quite some time.

P.S. Your signature is awesome. That is all.

As of now MMW is only playing in 565 theaters in US and Canada and ended this weekend with a mere $529,000 (estimated). As of its sixth weekend it has $49,374,000 (estimated). I really wish the film's budget was $50,000,000 and not $54,000,000, because it would've actually beat its budget.

The budget WAS $50 million. I don't know which site told you the budget was 54, but it is in fact at the 50 mark.

It has beaten its budget and currently stands at over 63, 000,000 as the world total. By now it might even be pushing onto the 70,000,000 mark. It's not a major profit but it's still something.
