Warrick's right.

Let's be happy they're thinking of having another MF.

We'd all love for it to be convenient for us, but it needs to be convenient for Henson and Creation. On the old board we had a long list of all the places we'd like to see MF held. I think Henson and Creation are trying to be considerate by switching to the east coast. It will only be fair for a MF to be held in England one year, too. But MF isn't likely to travel all over the US, it will stay in big cities with a pool of Muppet-related residents who can participate in the panels without the cost of hotel rooms and plane tickets. (Yes, I know, I'm jumping the gun on future MFs but I believe in positive thinking. If we want them, the Muppets will come.)

Phil, thanks for sharing this info. I'm upset that I have to wait longer to go to my first Muppetfest, but at least now I can do something with those 3 extra vacation days I was saving from work.

On a side note, before I read this, I had a dream that MuppetFest was announced, and it was in Cleveland, of all places. LOL. Let's hope they do better than that. I'm still hoping for Florida!!

FOZZI3B3AR: "HERE! HERE! or is it HEAR HEAR?"

"GOOD GRIEF! THE COMEDIAN'S A BEAR!"

Seriously, if there are future MuppetFests beyond Spring 03, i think we'll see them follow the same route as Creation/Henson's Farscape cons and do one for the East and West coasts and any other place where there may be a demand/interest. I know a European Farscape convention is being seriously considered and right now Farscape cons have been announced this year in California, New York AND Las Vegas!

Florida would be good for me. No, honestly, it would rock. There some wonderful places for conventions down here, like the one...grr, what's the name?..right near Disney is beautiful. It's a huge center for conventions with a big hotel and we could all go to MuppetVision 3D together and whew! Imagine that.

My vote is definitely for Florida.

MuppetFest

I know most people are wanting the convention in their home states or any other place. I don't mean to be rude, but I think it should be in NYC. This way it's not a state to far. I hope some of you understand. If you don't, then it's okay.

Even before an official con was announced last year, for awhile people would post why the convention if there was to be one should be in *their* home state. silly, but hey. I knew the first one would be in California, so that worked out. But I believe the one in 2003 should most definately be in NY!

As for an east and west coast muppetfest? NO WAY! even if it meant one would be in california i would say no. It would just thin out things to much and be more of a hassle than anything.

anyways folks, you got til either spring or summer of 2003 to plan!
