:news: Here is a Muppet News Flash! Usage of so-called "medical catnip" has been on the rise recently among MC members, sources claim. This reporter interviewed one such alleged user, who insists on being referred to only as "Kathy," last night.

When asked if she was on catnip, Kathy replied: "BWAHHAHAHAHAHAHA! You are SO funny!" Further attempts to question her resulted only in loud and persistent giggling. However, one of Kathy's associates, Spencer T. Kitteh, told this reporter: "Dude...it's such a drag! I mean what's it come to when a cat's personal nip stash isn't safe anymore? She keeps raiding it and bogarting the little flakes, which are, dude, like, the best part! Y'know, I even changed my status on FurBook from 'Has a hooman' to 'Undecided'!" The cat, who has known Kathy for several years, then added, "Bogus."

The medical community is still officially undecided, as well, when it comes to use of street-strength "nip" for promoting healthy giggling. One source, a prominent televsion veterinarian, offered this viewpoint: "Nip? What? Why are you bothering me with this nonsense? Can't you see I have to feed this flytrap before it ---AAAAAA OMIGAWD MULCH! MULCHMULCHMULCH HAAALLLLLPPP!"

Further developments in the story will be reported as they are known here at Muppet News Central. Medical Catnip: groovy new trend or something we should nip -- heh, heh -- in the bud? For Muppet News, this is --- WAAAAGH! *leaps back as pruning shears thunk into chair milimetres from a sensitive spot* *panting, shaken* Er...uh...that's all for now...good night...

:news: *scribbling notes* denial...redirection...

Er, Miss Kathy. I'm putting together a special report on Medical Catnip. Can you tell us WHY you have turned to this controlled substance, whether it actually helps, and if you plan on getting your OWN stash so that your kittehs may enjoy theirs without continued theft?
