How about Henry Winkler? It would have been great to see the Muppets work with the Fonz.

Ayyyyyy!
Fonzie: Aayyyyy!
Fozzie: Haaaaaa!

That could have made for some funny conversation.

dbarrie- working on fan fiction outlines for Alan Alda, Elliott Gould and Gene Wilder (long way from finishing, though).

Fozzie Bear- working on Rodney Dangerfield outline (long way from finishing that, too).

Other outlines in the works include the nearly complete Red Skelton outline- this is one I always thought would've worked. Others are Steve Allen, Tom Jones, Gordon Lightfoot and Cat Stevens.

Fan fic outlines already written-

Billy Joel- ever since I was a kid I wanted to see this; only when I was about 6 or so I realized they stopped making new episodes before I was born

Sammy Davis Jr.- this occurred to me more recently, but considering how many TV guest appearances he made at the time...

Rex Harrison- TravellingMatt came up with this and he and I wrote the outline together; it's my favorite out of all of either of ours (and anybody else's, for that matter)

James Caan- I dunno, he sang in "Funny Lady" and they never had anyone from "The Godfather"

Paul Lynde- character actors, even B and C list ones, were some of their best fits- Avery Schreiber, Rich Little and Dom DeLuise for example; Paul Lynde would've been no exception. Neither would-

Jack Gilford- loveable character actor of film & TV

Some I would've liked to see:

Cass Elliot- the very talented and very likeable Mama Cass could've grooved with the Electric Mayhem and 'chewed the fat' with Miss Piggy; if only she'd lived so long

Gotta go- I'll post my Big Long List later.

Those of you in the UK may remember Matt Monro, a contemporary of Dusty Springfield and Shirley Bassey (who was on the show). When some of the British stars who were less familiar to American audiences started showing up, I always hoped Matt would be one of them. He was an outstanding guest, a brilliant vocalist and very warm presence. I could see him doing his trademark "Born Free" amidst a family of Muppet lions...
